Vasari Shibata, the new frontier of MM cartridges

The newest member of the Vasari cartridges family, the “Vasari Shibata”. Designed, as the name suggests, by Mr Shibata in the 70s, this MM cartridge features a peculiar shape of stylus which is an evolution of the elliptical shape with extra special cuts on one end creating a hybrid, asymmetrical shape.

The new Vasari Shibata, thanks to its special stylus, allows an increase of the total contact surface area whilst the amount of pressure per square inch is substantially reduced. The result is that the Vasari Shibata can produce near-perfect playback reaching almost all areas of the groove wall and, on the other hand, less wearing on both the record and stylus.

The MM cartridge for contemporary audiophiles

The innovative design of Vasari cartridges, achieved through computer modelling, has been developed to reach the peak performance of any MM cartridges.
Its high-damping body, made of a single machined piece of aluminium 7000 alloys, and its ultra-rigid and light aluminium cantilever, make the Vasari a superb tracker allowing the diamond stylus to extract all the information from the vinyl groove.
