Entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, the PH-1000 Lite combines precision-machined aluminium construction with discrete audio-grade components throughout. The result is a phono stage that is strikingly quiet, dynamically expressive, and capable of revealing the finest detail from your vinyl collection.

36 EQ Curves for Every Record in Your Collection

Where most phono stages offer RIAA and nothing else, the PH-1000 Lite provides 18 preset equalisation curves — each with an Enhanced variant inspired by the Neumann Cutting Lathe — totalling 36 curves. Whether you’re playing contemporary audiophile pressings, vintage stereo LPs, or early mono records, you can match the EQ precisely to the way each record was cut. Supported curves include RIAA, Capitol, Columbia/CBS, Deutsche Grammophon, Decca London (USA and UK), Decca Mono 78rpm, Epic, HMW, Mercury, RCA Victor, Philips, Elektra, L’Oiseau-Lyre, Parlophone, and more.

Comprehensive Cartridge Matching

The PH-1000 Lite accommodates virtually any MM or MC cartridge with an extensive range of adjustable parameters. Gain is adjustable from 40dB (MM) to 60dB (MC) across seven selectable steps, while 12 impedance load options for RCA and 8 for XLR ensure precise matching to your cartridge’s requirements. Seven capacitance settings from 100pF to 1,000pF complete the picture for moving magnet designs. Every adjustment can be made on the fly via the front-panel SKC (Single Knob Control) rotary or the included IR remote — without interrupting playback.

Three Independent Inputs

Connect multiple tonearms or turntables simultaneously. The PH-1000 Lite provides two unbalanced RCA inputs (accepting 0.1mV MC up to 8.0mV MM) and one balanced XLR input (0.1mV up to 1.0mV MC), each independently configurable for load, gain, and EQ curve. Switching between inputs is instant and seamless, making this an ideal centrepiece for multi-turntable systems.

Intuitive Control, Pure Analogue Signal Path

The PH-1000 Lite is a fully analogue design with discrete audio-grade components throughout. A digital microcontroller manages the front-panel colour display and settings interface but remains completely isolated from the audio signal path. The 3.5″ TFT colour screen and proprietary SKC knob provide clear, intuitive access to every parameter, while the included remote control lets you fine-tune settings from the listening chair. Gold Note’s custom firmware can be updated via micro SD card as new features become available.

Built for Serious Vinyl Systems

Beyond its core phono stage capabilities, the PH-1000 Lite includes a switchable infrasonic filter (10Hz, 36dB/octave) for taming rumble and warped records, Mono/Stereo switching with phase inversion options, L/R channel swapping, and a dedicated Class A headphone output for the shortest possible signal path from vinyl to your ears. Both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR outputs ensure seamless integration into any high-end system.

A Clear Upgrade Path

Gold Note’s modular design philosophy means the PH-1000 Lite grows with your system. Add the external PSU-1000 or PSU-1250 super-inductive power supply for greater dynamics, resolution, and three-dimensional imaging. The optional TUBE-1012 or TUBE-1006 valve output stage introduces the warmth and harmonic richness of valves while retaining the precision of the solid-state input stage. The PH-1000 Lite is the foundation of a system that can evolve to true reference-level performance.
