The complexity of all the Masterpiece Series products has put the Vitus Audio engineering team to the test. The technology used in their Signature Series has been pushed to the extreme to satisfy customers’ expectations. All parts, from component level up, have been re-qualified. This entailed developing many new custom-made items for the Masterpiece Series, pushing their sub-contractors technologies to the limit. This work is exemplified in the incredible MP-T201 Mk.II CD Transport.
Getting beyond the quality of the transport used in the SCD-025 Mk.II proved to be a difficult task and a dramatic approach was needed. The drive itself is the same heavily modified Philips Pro used in the SCD-025 Mk.II, but with an even greater level of mechanical and electrical modifications, which refine the quality even further.
Both the masterclock and sample rate modules found in the SCD-025 Mk.II are included. A super high precision clock for the drive helps minimise jitter within the transport itself.
The power supply has extreme control over regulation delivering an unheard of stability level and ultra-low noise floor. As the design of the MP-T201 Mk.II is totally modular, different interfaces can be added for future upgrades.
