Built in Florence and drawing on over two decades of Gold Note’s design experience, the IS-1000 MkII Deluxe is intended for listeners who want a serious system without the complexity of separates. It connects to virtually any source — vinyl, digital files, streaming services, or external components — and drives a wide range of loudspeakers with authority.

Amplification

At the core of the IS-1000 MkII Deluxe is a Class AB Mosfet amplifier delivering 125 watts per channel into 8Ω. Total harmonic distortion is held to 0.005% at 5W, with a damping factor exceeding 100 — figures that point to a circuit with real grip and control over the loudspeaker load. A signal-to-noise ratio of better than 100dB on line and digital inputs keeps the noise floor firmly out of the way.

The Booster feature provides three levels of adjustable bass gain centred on 50Hz — useful for speakers that lean lean in the lower registers, or for lower-volume listening where bass energy naturally recedes. It can be bypassed entirely when not needed.

Phono Stage

The integrated phono stage accepts both MM and MC cartridges and traces its lineage directly to Gold Note’s dedicated PH-10 — a unit that has accumulated a significant number of industry awards in its own right. Connecting a turntable directly to the IS-1000 MkII Deluxe is a straightforward proposition, with no external phono stage required.

DAC and Digital Inputs

The Deluxe variant uses a Burr-Brown PCM1792A DAC, accepting PCM up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD64. Digital source connections include one coaxial RCA input, three TosLink optical inputs, and a USB-A port for local playback from flash storage. Files in FLAC, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, MP3, DSD64, and other common formats are all supported natively.

Streaming

The IS-1000 MkII Deluxe is Roon Ready, certified for Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, Airplay, and Audirvāna, with additional support for MQA, vTuner, and Deezer. Both wired LAN and Wi-Fi connections are available. UPnP media servers including Minim Server and Bubble UPnP are supported for NAS playback.

The GN Control app (available for iOS and Android) provides full system management from a phone or tablet. A multifunctional remote control is included in the box.

Connectivity

Beyond its digital and phono inputs, the IS-1000 MkII Deluxe offers a balanced XLR analogue input, a standard RCA line input, and an AV input for home cinema integration. Two analogue outputs — one fixed and one variable — allow connection to a power amplifier or recording device if required.
The IS-1000 MkII Deluxe is finished in anodised aluminium and is available in Black, Silver, or Gold.
