A Danish company specialising in cable, loudspeaker and electronics design, OePhi have a philosophy and an ethos that fits perfectly with our own vision of what makes for exceptional audio performance.
OePhi is dedicated to “giving music lovers the best possible appreciation of their music collection”. They do this by tackling the root cause of many issues with music reproduction, that being – fundamentally – a lack of timing precision. In practice this means optimisation of cable geometry and loudspeaker design to minimise time smear and signal loss, alongside rigorous testing and analysis.
By taking a scientific approach to both cable and loudspeaker design and using a clever application of physics to achieve superior performance, OePhi are able to reveal the true nature of both recordings and the audio equipment. Their products use only common, pure elements such as cotton, copper and silver. They eschew exotic materials on the whole, only applying them when the science demands it. Their emphasis is on revealing everything and never colouring the signal which places the performance of their cables and loudspeakers in a realm of their own.
OePhi are simply a perfect fit with ourselves, especially in consideration of our LTNF philosophy. These are products that sit in the chain, but leave little to no trace on the signal, disappearing into the background.

The OePhi approach
One of the things that drew us towards OePhi was the approach of owner Joakim Juhl to the problems with audio reproduction. Borne out of both a love of music and of the technology behind the delivery, he realised that to get the most honest reproduction and the most revealing picture, one has to solve the problems in the audio chain at a fundamental, physical level. By solving these problems, we avoid the need to mask, to alter or to adjust leaving us with an honest, pure musical performance.
It also helps that both the speakers and the cables are things of beauty, being built painstakingly by hand in Denmark. We are talking artisinal, but with exceptional skill and an impeccable level of detail.

Levels
OePhi products are arranged according to 5 levels of performance. These are (in ascending order);
- Lounge
- Ascendance
- Transcendence
- Immanence
- Reference
Lounge is the entry level range but even at this level, the cables still adhere to the core OePhi philosophy of optimising geometry for precise timing and musical presentation. They provide a taste of OePhi’s signature sound or should we say lack of sound. As you move up the ranges, the geometries and the construction become more complex with the results becoming more and more pronounced. More honest, accurate and transparent – literally to the point of disappearing.
The speakers follow the same order of performance starting at Ascendance level. Each of the levels have both a stand mount and floor standing version (with the exception of the Reference 3.5 which is available as a floor stander only). We can honestly say, the speakers are an experience and little holds a candle to their incredible realism even with alternatives at many times the price.
