Speaker placement is critical with all loudspeakers, and even more so with Avalon Acoustics. A simple scale marked on the floor allows us to lock in on the sweet spot, ensuring the speakers use the boundary walls evenly and that the phase is perfectly aligned, with both left and right speakers singing in time.
Then comes the fun part… listening.
When Avalon Acoustics loudspeakers are correctly positioned, they disappear completely from the soundstage, leaving behind a wonderfully three-dimensional, immersive sound full of texture and realism. We certainly achieved that, with music coming alive regardless of the recording.
Also playing in the main shop area were the PM 1.2 loudspeakers, shown below in the luxurious Piano Lacquer Premium finish. We’re loving the Rolling Stones’ “Tongue and Lick” reflection!
We were privileged to be using outstanding electronics from Kalista, Vitus Audio, DCS, Innuos and Doshi Audio. Connected with cables from Entreq, the presentation was muscular yet refined, delivering a sense of realism that leaves you wanting more.
